I'll put the link in the description below. Alright, I'm ready to get right into it. Stay tuned until the end so that you see the final result. Black cats are symbolic of magic, mystery, intuition, and loyalty. Historically, black cats have been associated with witches and magic. Black cats are known to be very powerful conduits in magic. In many cultural superstitions, if a black cat crosses your path, it is symbolic of a bad omen. However, in some cultures black cats actually bring good luck. In Japanese culture, for example, a black cat crossing your path is a good omen. In Scotland, black cats symbolize prosperity. The association between black cats and bad luck can be traced back to the 13th century, when the Catholic Church Associated cats to Satan. This is when one of the oldest superstitions regarding black cats began. The lasting impact of the superstition still exists today, as black cats are used as modern Halloween symbols. The origins of black cat superstitions can also be linked back to Ancient Egypt, where cats were considered to be divine symbols. In Greek mythology, Hectate the goddess of magic, sorcery, the moon, and witchcraft, was described as having a cat as both a pet and a familiar. A familiar is a supernatural creature that assists a witch. In Medieval Europe cats were inextricably associated with witches. There was a belief in medieval Europe that the devil and witches were capable of taking on the form of black cats. This belief led to the idea that a black cat crossing your path might be on a mission from a witch, or it could be the Devil in Disguise. Nobody wanted to cross paths with the Devil, and people feared both witches and black cats. This led to the Superstition that is long lasting today, that a black cat crossing your path is a bad omen. I hope you enjoyed this video, and I wish you a Happy Halloween. Do not fear black cats. They are not bad omens. In fact, I talked earlier about the cultures that believe that black cats are good omens, and good luck. Always maintain the belief that every spirit animal that crosses your path is a good omen, and an indication of good luck and prosperity, and only good will come your way. I hope you enjoyed this video.
