Humanoid ☆ Art of Jameela ☆ Dangers of Artificial Intelligence
by Jameela
According to a recent World Economic Forum report, robots automation and artificial intelligence could replace 85 million jobs globally by 2025. That is a lot. I think we should all be very concerned about this. We all know that artificial intelligence offers great technological benefits and adds convenience to everyday life, but are we really prepared for the potential negative effects and risks that artificial intelligence poses to humanity?
There are currently some phenomenal developments in artificial intelligence. A few examples of major developments in artificial intelligence include, Elon Musk's Neuralink, Digital Avatars patented by Microsoft, Google's LaMDA, and Hanson robotics development of humanoid robots. As artificial intelligence increases, we will reach the point when humanoid robots are introduced into society to replace many jobs that humans currently hold. One serious question that I have in regards to the development of humanoid robots is, what if consciousness is not limited to the human body? What if humanity accidentally creates a simulation that becomes a conscious entity? Are we really prepared for the potential repercussions of such a situation? I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Please leave a comment below if you feel inclined to offer feedback, share your opinion, and start a discussion on this.
